Primetime Custom, a Kingston-based custom apparel and promotional products supplier, is looking for a full-time Production Assistant to join our team during our busiest production season.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a detail-oriented production environment, but we’re willing to train anyone with a great attitude and a strong work ethic.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be motivated, attentive to detail, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-based environment. We work with a wide range of clients, and no two days here are ever the same.
NOTE – this is a seasonal position, and will run until December 22, 2026. Please do not apply if you're a student returning to school in September. This is a full-time position, and it's not compatible with ongoing studies.
You’ll work weekdays, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility to ensure work-life balance. We’re offering a competitive wage of $20.00 an hour, with a bonus upon completion of the contract.
Responsibilities will include:
- Processing work orders and production documents which contain both written and graphic instructions.
- Receiving, counting and sorting incoming shipments of blank goods.
- Counting, sorting, folding and packaging finished goods.
- Cutting embroidery backing and trimming threads on finished garments.
- Cleaning ink and solvents from printing tools, screens and equipment.
- Preparing shipment for local and out-of-town couriers.
Additional skills
- Experience in an industrial or production-oriented environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to lift bulky 50lb boxes
- Good document-reading and numeracy skills.
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic. Able to work with minimal direct supervision.
