Overview
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil and structural design, project management, and technical drafting. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to innovative infrastructure solutions. The Senior Structural Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, durability, and efficiency of structural designs across various construction and civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for a variety of projects including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit.
- Utilize engineering software like ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 to perform calculations, simulations, and project documentation.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to develop feasible design solutions that meet all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and provide technical guidance during construction phases.
- Mentor junior engineers and drafting staff to promote best practices in design and drafting techniques.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and company policies throughout all project phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering or related field; PEng. license preferred.
- Proven experience in structural engineering design, project management, and construction oversight.
- Proficiency with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Drafting tools.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis software such as Mathcad.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for document management and project collaboration.
- Excellent understanding of construction processes and civil engineering principles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
