What Makes This Role Great:-
Rodan is entering an aggressive growth phase, and partnerships are a cornerstone of our go-to-market strategy. We are building a partnership sales channel from the ground up — and we're looking for the leader to build it.
-
As Director, Partnership Sales, you will own one of Rodan's most consequential growth mandates: originating and closing revenue through strategic partners. You will manage and grow partnerships across four segments — EPCs, OEM hardware vendors (e.g., Honeywell), data center suppliers (e.g., Cambridge Computers, NVIDIA), and energy brokers & advisors — while designing the partner program, building the team, and creating the assets that make the channel scale.
-
This is a builder's role. You'll be a member of Rodan's Corporate Leadership Team, with direct exposure to the ELT and a mandate to shape how Rodan goes to market through partners for years to come. But make no mistake: this is first and foremost a revenue role. The number one measure of success is partner-originated deals signed and closed.
Key Responsibilities:
Originate & Close (the core of the role)-
Own a partner-sourced revenue target — originate, advance, and close deals sourced through EPCs, OEMs, data center suppliers, and energy brokers/advisors.
-
Run joint pursuit motions with partners: co-selling, deal registration, opportunity qualification, and executive-level deal sponsorship through to signature.
-
Build and manage a partner-sourced pipeline with disciplined forecasting, stage hygiene, and clear conversion metrics.
Build the Channel-
Recruit, onboard, and activate new partners across the four priority segments; identify and open entirely new partnership channels.
-
Validate Rodan's value propositions directly with partners — pressure-test positioning, pricing, and packaging, and feed learnings back into product and GTM strategy.
-
Design and launch Rodan's partner program: tiers, incentives, deal registration, margin/referral structures, enablement, and governance.
Build the Team-
Design the partnership sales org and hire, coach, and lead a team of Partner Sales Managers as the channel scales.
-
Set the operating cadence: partner business reviews, pipeline reviews, and performance management against origination targets.
Build the Assets-
Create the enablement and origination toolkit — partner pitch decks, joint value propositions, ROI models, playbooks, and co-marketing assets that drive partner-led demand.
-
Collaborate closely with Marketing, RevOps, Engineering, Energy Markets, Legal, and the ELT to bring partner offers to market quickly and cleanly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:-
10+ years in B2B sales or partnerships, with 5+ years leading channel/partner sales — ideally in energy services, DER/demand response, energy technology, or adjacent infrastructure markets.
-
A proven closer. You have a track record of originating and closing seven-figure deals through or with partners — not just managing relationships.
-
A builder. You've stood up a partner program, channel, or team from scratch and can show the revenue it produced.
-
Fluent in the partner economics of EPCs, OEMs, data center supply chains, or energy advisory channels — you know how these businesses make money and how to align incentives.
-
Strong energy markets literacy (capacity markets, demand response, BESS, DERs) or the demonstrated ability to get fluent fast.
-
An executive-grade communicator, comfortable presenting to C-suites — partners' and ours.
-
Willing and able to travel up to 50% across North America.
