Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist in Charge to oversee daily pharmacy operations at an independently-owned pharmacy with a manageable daily script volume — ideal for a pharmacist who values quality patient interactions over high-pressure script counts. This leadership role requires strong clinical knowledge and supervisory experience. We are open to exploring equity/partnership arrangements with exceptional candidates.
Compensation: $55–65/hr, depending on experience and language proficiency. Farsi fluency is a strong plus and qualifies candidates for the top of the pay range.
Duties
- Manage pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and staff supervision
- Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal pharmacy regulations and safety standards
- Provide expert guidance on medication administration and patient care protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management
- Oversee the preparation and review of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness
- Maintain detailed documentation for audits, licensing requirements, and quality assurance purposes
- Lead efforts to improve customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Valid Pharmacist license in Ontario, in good standing with OCP
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a registered Pharmacist in Ontario
- Valid injection training and first aid certificate
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on safety, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Proficiency in using Kroll computer software and in insurance billing
- Demonstrated leadership abilities or supervisory experience in a pharmacy environment
- Experience in expanded scope services including injection administration, medication reviews, and minor ailments prescribing
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry regulations and best practices
- English required; Farsi fluency an asset (qualifies for top of pay range)
- Outstanding customer service skills
