WE’RE HIRING – Community Event Coordinator
Richmond / Metro Vancouver, BC
Part-Time or Full-Time
Flexible Schedule + Selected Weekend Events
PawPoint is building a pet wellness community across Metro Vancouver, and we’re looking for an organized, proactive, and community-minded person to join our team.
Your main mission will be to help us build and expand PawPoint Pet Wellness Day—a series of community events designed to promote pet wellness, education, and responsible pet ownership.
What You’ll Do
Community Event Coordination
* Research suitable pet-friendly parks and community locations across Richmond and Metro Vancouver
* Organize PawPoint Pet Wellness Day events
* Coordinate event schedules, materials, giveaways, QR registration, signage, and booth setup
* Help create a repeatable event model that can expand across different communities
City & Municipal Outreach
* Contact the City of Richmond and other Metro Vancouver municipalities
* Research park-use requirements, permits, insurance, and event applications
* Prepare and submit applications
* Follow up with municipal departments and maintain organized records
Volunteer Recruitment & Coordination
* Recruit volunteers through ClubHub and other community/volunteer channels
* Communicate with volunteer coordinators and applicants
* Organize volunteer schedules and responsibilities
* Prepare volunteer briefings and coordinate event-day support
Community Outreach
* Reach out to community organizations and potential local partners
* Prepare outreach emails and follow-ups
* Help build long-term relationships within Metro Vancouver’s pet community
Light Social Media Support
* Help promote upcoming Pet Wellness Day events
* Share event photos, Stories, and simple event updates
* Social media is a supporting part of this role—not the primary responsibility
AI-Assisted Work
PawPoint is an AI-first company, and we encourage the practical use of AI to make everyday work faster and easier.
You may use AI to help with research, outreach emails, volunteer recruitment, event planning, checklists, simple social media content, and organizing information.
You do not need to be an AI expert. We’re looking for someone who is open to learning and comfortable using AI as a practical work tool.
Who We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you are:
* Organized, reliable, and good at following up
* Comfortable communicating by email and phone
* Confident contacting municipalities, community organizations, and volunteers
* Interested in pets, wellness, events, and community building
* Able to work independently and take ownership of projects
* Comfortable attending selected weekend events
* Willing to learn and use AI-assisted tools
Experience in community outreach, event coordination, volunteer management, nonprofit/community organizations, recreation, or municipal programs is a strong asset.
A driver’s licence and access to transportation are also assets.
Part-Time or Full-Time
We’re open to both Part-Time and Full-Time candidates.
The schedule can be flexible depending on the candidate and the needs of upcoming events. Some responsibilities can be completed remotely, while selected community events will require in-person attendance.
