Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic food service team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety standards. Prior restaurant or food handling experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in daily operations.
- Help with food prep tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, or portioning supplies under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, counters, and storage spaces.
- Support serving staff during busy periods by ensuring dishes are ready for delivery or service.
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health regulations.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down workstations before and after shifts.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of cooking and food preparation techniques is desirable but not mandatory.
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations.
- Ability to handle food safely and follow hygiene standards diligently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cleaning and maintaining supplies.
- Good teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
