Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our company's financial records and ensure accurate accounting practices. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero, and possess strong skills in bookkeeping, payroll, and account reconciliation. This role is vital in maintaining the financial health of our organization by accurately recording transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and performing regular bank and account reconciliations. The Bookkeeper will support budgeting processes and provide insightful account analysis to assist management decisions.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Perform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data across bank statements and internal records
- Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Prepare detailed account analysis reports to monitor financial performance
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and forecasting future financial needs
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Generate financial reports for management review on a regular basis
- Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions for audit purposes
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Experience with account reconciliation and bank reconciliation procedures
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and support budgeting activities
- Familiarity with industry best practices for bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Prior experience in managing multiple accounts and handling sensitive financial data is preferred
