CASE AID

We are seeking two compassionate and dependable Case Aids to join our team. The Case Aid works in collaboration with Social Workers across Protection, Prevention, Child-in-Care, and Intake Services to provide practical support and direct assistance to children and families.
This position plays an important role in helping clients identify their needs, access community resources, develop life skills, and build strong support networks that promote stability and self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and families with practical life skills, including:
- Household management, cooking, meal planning, organization, and cleanliness
- Budgeting and money management
- Parenting skills, problem-solving, and child-care related support
- Connect clients with appropriate community resources and services, including housing, education, employment and training, healthcare, and other supports
- Coordinate appointments, referrals, follow-up services, and transportation needs
- Work alongside Social Workers to provide support during crises or emergencies
- Provide ongoing emotional support and encouragement to children, youth, and families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, progress notes, service plans, and related documentation
- Prepare reports related to client outcomes, service utilization, and program needs
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Director, or CEO
Qualifications:
- A certificate or diploma in Youth Care, Social Services, Human Services, Child and Youth Care, Teaching/ECE, Criminology/Corrections, Sociology, or a related field is considered an asset
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Successful completion of required Social Development, Criminal Record, and Vulnerable Sector checks
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
- Experience working with children, youth, families, or diverse populations is considered an asset
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, Social Workers, and community partners
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and use case management software
Additional Information:
The nature of this work may require evening and weekend availability to support children and families based on their individual needs and circumstances.
Salary: $48,750 annually
