Painter – Residential & Commercial Painting

Cardinal Painting & Property Services is looking to add a reliable painter to our growing team. We focus on residential and light commercial painting, renovation-related work, and property service projects throughout HRM.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in clean, professional work and wants to be part of a company that is building proper systems, steady workflow, and a strong reputation.
Responsibilities include:
- Interior and exterior painting
- Surface preparation, sanding, patching, caulking, and priming
- Brush, roll, and spray work depending on the project
- Site setup, protection, masking, and cleanup
- Working safely and respectfully in occupied homes and commercial spaces
- Communicating clearly with the team lead and clients when needed
- Helping maintain tools, materials, and jobsite organization
The right person will have:
- Painting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small crew
- Reliable transportation to job sites or a central meeting location
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn Cardinal’s way of doing things
- Respect for clients’ homes, businesses, and property
- Basic hand tools are an asset but not required
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence preferred
- Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, and work on your feet throughout the day
- Comfortable working on ladders and basic jobsite environments
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional
