Gusto Caledon is looking for an experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager to lead the daily operations of our full-service restaurant and bar.

What You'll Do:
As Restaurant & Bar Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of both the restaurant and bar while maintaining exceptional service, operational excellence, and a positive team culture.
Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, train, and support the front-of-house team

Recruit, interview, onboard, and develop new employees

Create staff schedules while managing labour costs

Oversee daily restaurant and bar operations

Ensure outstanding guest service and resolve customer concerns professionally

Maintain high standards for food, beverage, cocktail, beer, and wine service

Manage bar inventory, beverage ordering, and responsible alcohol service

Monitor food, beverage, and supply inventory

Control food and beverage costs while minimizing waste

Complete daily cash reconciliation and monitor sales performance

Ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and liquor licensing regulations

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment

Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during every shift

Support restaurant promotions, events, and other business initiatives
Qualifications:
We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience in a full-service restaurant

Minimum 2 years of bartending or bar management experience

Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and responsible alcohol service

Experience managing restaurant and bar operations

Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills

Experience with hiring, scheduling, inventory management, ordering, and cost control

Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and end-of-day reconciliation

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Smart Serve Certification required

Food Handler Certification is an asset

Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
