Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional person who takes pride in their work, to fill an immediate opening we have for a Retail Associate at our homewares store Perch, located on 5th Street in Courtenay. This role involves helping customers, handling cash and card transactions, managing some incoming freight, pricing and light cleaning of shelves etc . The ideal candidate will have great customer service skills, is enthusiastic and can work independently.
Duties
- Greet customers professionally and assist them with a range of products.
- Accurately managing cash transactions and bank machine
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Helping with incoming stock, pricing and restock shelves and can lift 15 to 20 pounds without issue
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the sales floor
- Managing opening and closing procedures
- Have the necessary math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
- Ability to work well with others or independently without issue.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Other duties as required
