Overview
PEO Canada is looking for a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our business development team.
This is a true hunter role for someone who enjoys picking up the phone, starting conversations with business owners and decision makers, and turning cold prospects into qualified sales opportunities.
You’ll be responsible for building a consistent pipeline of new business and booking qualified meetings for our Client Development Specialists.

What You'll Do
- Make 80 to 100 outbound calls per day to prospective businesses
- Research companies and identify key decision makers using LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, CRM tools and other resources
- Engage business owners and decision makers through cold calling, email and LinkedIn
- Ask the right questions to understand a prospect’s business, challenges and needs
- Qualify prospects and book qualified sales appointments
- Maintain accurate prospect information, notes and activity in the CRM
- Follow up consistently with prospects and nurture future opportunities
- Confirm appointments and provide the sales team with detailed prospect information
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and report on pipeline and activity
- Stay current on PEO, HR, payroll, benefits, WCB and compliance services, as well as the competitive landscape
- Take ownership of your activity, pipeline and results
What We're Looking For:
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls
- Confident speaking with business owners and senior decision makers
- Competitive, persistent and motivated by results
- Organized and disciplined with CRM activity and follow-up
- A strong communicator who can quickly build rapport
- Able to work independently while contributing to a sales team
- Previous experience in inside sales, B2B sales, appointment setting, lead generation, cold calling or business development is an asset
How You'll Be Measured
- 80 to 100 outbound calls per day
