Fish Vaccinators in the Commercial Aquaculture industry.
Prior aquaculture experience is preferred, however we are willing to train the right people! This is a great entry level position for individuals interested in working in the Aquaculture Industry, a fast growing and secure industry.
We are happy to provide a competitive salary of $18.00/hour to start as well as an employee health spending account after completion of the probationary period. The position is based from New Glasgow and the ideal candidate will already be established in this area. Transportation or car pooling to and from the work sites maybe available to our staff.
The Role
Fish Vaccinators will be required to attend the hatchery and safely handle the fish during the vaccination process. Each person picks up the fish and accurately administers an injection. Vaccine bag changes, needle changes and shot quality checks will also be the responsibility of this role.
This is a fast paced and physically demanding job which includes some heavy lifting, repetitive movement, and long periods of standing in a stationary position.
This is a seasonal position beginning mid March and completing in May, with the next season starting in July. The work sites are in Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick so camp life is a major component of this job.
