We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, utilizing a wide range of hand tools and power tools, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Experience with heavy equipment operation, industrial machinery, and electrical systems is highly valued. The Automotive Technician will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers while maintaining the highest level of technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy machinery
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery as needed
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic tools to complete repairs efficiently
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle or machine serviced
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of complex mechanical components when required
- Support team members with heavy lifting or moving of large parts or equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic; dealership experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems and heavy machinery
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems, schematics, welding, HVAC systems, and farm machinery is desirable
- Ability to operate industrial equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good customer service skills for effective communication with clients
- Valid driver’s license; experience operating heavy equipment is preferred
- Knowledge of safety standards related to automotive repair and industrial equipment operation
