Overview
We are seeking a skilled Furniture Upholsterer to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working with various materials and tools to create high-quality furniture pieces. The ideal candidate will have experience in woodworking, assembly, and mechanical processes, with a strong attention to detail and safety. Candidates with warehouse experience, heavy lifting ability, and familiarity with power and hand tools will excel in this position. Duties
- Operate woodworking machinery, CNC machines, and other manufacturing equipment to craft furniture components
- Use power tools and hand tools for assembly, upholstery, and finishing processes
- Measure materials accurately using calipers and other precision tools
- Perform heavy lifting of furniture parts and materials safely throughout the production process
- Assemble furniture pieces according to specifications, ensuring quality standards are met
- Utilize forklift and warehouse experience to move raw materials and finished products within the facility
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal operation
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Proficiency with forklift operation and warehouse procedures
- Strong woodworking skills and knowledge of CNC machining processes
- Experience with power tools, hand tools, machining, and construction techniques
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to furniture manufacturing and assembly
- Ability to work with calipers for precise measurements
- Experience in manufacturing or heavy lifting environments is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail combined with good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Pay: $20.00-$33.91 per hour
