Form of Engagement
Six-month, part-time contract consisting of 12 days per month, three days per week in the first instance with the possibility of another six-month contract extension based upon professional performance and the company’s ability to finance the operational budget related to this part-time role.
Compensation
Contractor-based, fixed, monthly professional fee of CAD $1,000.

Role Profile
The DevOps Cloud Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and continuous delivery pipelines within a fast-paced, dynamic and advanced start-up work environment. This role bridges development and operations teams to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable deployment of applications and services in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application delivery
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (e.g., Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
- Ensure cloud environments meet security and compliance standards
- Optimize cloud performance and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams
- Maintain documentation of cloud architecture and processes
Required Technical Skills
Cloud Platforms
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Understanding of cloud services (compute, storage, networking, serverless)
Systems & Networking
- Linux/Windows system administration
- Networking fundamentals (VPC/VNet, DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
Programming & Scripting
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
Containers & Orchestration
- Docker
- Kubernetes (or similar orchestration tools)
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, etc.)
- Log analysis and root cause troubleshooting
DevOps & Automation Skills
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
- Version control systems (Git)
- Automation of deployments and workflows
- Agentic AI DevOps knowledge and experience- at least 2 years

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

- Experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Engineering roles and Agentic AI DevOps experience and knowledge
Work Environment
- Collaborative DevOps team environment
- Agile / Scrum methodologies commonly used
- May require on-call support for cloud operations
