Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. Duties
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and visual displays
- Lead and supervise sales associates to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and staffing needs to ensure optimal store coverage
- Handle cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions accurately and efficiently
- Implement pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to maximize sales
- Conduct recruiting efforts, interview candidates, and participate in onboarding new employees
- Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and health regulations
- Support marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Train staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service excellence, and operational procedures
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control to optimize profitability
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, coaching, and leadership
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership capabilities
