We are a well-established, high-volume breakfast and lunch restaurant in Halifax serving the community for many years. We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Working Manager to help oversee daily operations while also working alongside the team.

Position Summary
The Working Manager will assist with the day-to-day operation of the restaurant while regularly working in our takeout/cash area. The successful candidate will help maintain service standards, support staff, and ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Hours
- Approximately 35-40 hours per week
- Primarily daytime shifts
- Typical schedule between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM
- Weekend availability required
Responsibilities
- Manage takeout and cash operations
- Supervise front-of-house staff during shifts
- Assist with scheduling and shift coverage
- Handle customer concerns and service recovery
- Place and receive orders from suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and service standards
- Support hiring, onboarding, and staff training
- Communicate operational issues to ownership
- Help ensure labour and food cost targets are met
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality management experience (4 years minimum)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling cash and point-of-sale systems
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
