Summary
Are you someone who loves to cook and would like to share your culinary passion with a small group of independent senior residents in a small-scale seniors’ residence?
If so, this position could be perfect for you. St Andrews Abbeyfield House in Sidney, B.C. is looking to fill the week-end Friday, Saturday and Sunday Shifts!
Split or full shifts 9 :30 AM - 1 PM and / or 3: 30 PM - 7 PM.

This role is vital in ensuring our residents enjoy nutritious and delicious meals, contributing to their comfort and quality of life. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and community service.
Responsibilities
- Homestyle cooking skills
- Set out self-serve breakfast
- Prepare homestyle Meals for 9 Seniors - Lunch (Main) and Light dinner
- Current Food-safe certificate or willing to get
- Clear criminal background check
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during weekends.
- Communicate and enjoy seniors
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure cleanliness after each shift.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for serving the community and supporting senior residents.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to residents' needs.
