Job Summary
The Dishwashing & Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and general upkeep of the restaurant, including dishwashing, garbage removal, cleaning of kitchen and dining areas, washroom maintenance, and basic maintenance tasks. The employee is expected to follow all food-safety and workplace-safety procedures and promptly report any maintenance or safety issues to management.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of clutter.
- Operate and maintain the commercial dishwasher according to proper procedures.
- Empty and clean dishwasher filters and screens as required.
- Ensure clean dishes and utensils are available to the kitchen and service staff.
- Handle kitchen equipment and dishes carefully to prevent damage.
- Remove garbage, recycling, and food waste from the kitchen and restaurant as required.
- Keep garbage and recycling areas clean and sanitary.
Qualifications
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
