Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Loader Operator / Excavator Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, graders, and backhoes to support various construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure efficient site operations, safety, and precision in material handling and earthmoving tasks. Responsibilities
- Operate loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material movement to support project timelines
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and project tasks effectively
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate repairs needed
- Support paving operations and horizontal drilling activities as required for project completion
Skills
- Proven experience operating loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and backhoes in a construction setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Caterpillar (CAT) machinery and other heavy equipment brands
- Ability to perform precise earthmoving tasks including grading and horizontal drilling
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina and attention to detail
