We are a growing team of passionate professionals from a variety of fields including Physiotherapy, behavior analysis, speech, occupational, psychomotor, physical, music and art therapy. We provide services to individuals 1-18 in our newly renovated facility equipped with innovative equipment such as sensory gymnasium, immersive room and Snoezelen room.

Yaldei Developmental Center is looking for a compassionate and dynamic Pediatric Physiotherapist to join our interdisciplinary team. The Physiotherapist will provide consultation services to students at our school, as well as direct therapy to children with autism, intellectual disabilities, developmental (GDD and others) and/or genetic disorders (T21 and others) who present challenges with coordination, balance, strength, posture, and motor planning. The objective is to support their participation and independence in daily activities and play.
Location: at our developmental center and our specialized school (near Plamondon).
part time position offered, and contract position possible.

Responsibilities:
· Respects, and adopts behaviours that are coherent with, the mission, values and beliefs of the Center
· Delivers services based on the following approaches: interdisciplinary collaboration, relationship-based, ability-based, reflective practices, and family-focused.
· Meets OPPQ order-based obligations and requirements in the area of practices, reporting and ethics
· Follows the OPPQ requirements for optimal file management (assessments, reports, notes, etc.)
· Sets long and short-term SMART goals that align with the clients’ needs and abilities, taking into account educators’ and families’ input.
· Ensure clear communication amongst all parties involved with the child regarding progress, challenges, and recommendations.
· Collaborates with the educators and the families to apply physiotherapy exercises and recommendations, offering them training as needed.
· Communicates therapy information with parents and interdisciplinary team as per Center protocol.
· Completes reports requested for school, disability allowance, grants, etc. as needed
· Provides in-class physiotherapy consultations and sub-sequent recommendations when required.
· Attends team/staff meetings and professional development days and contributes own insights and ideas.
· May be required to give professional training or provide suggestions for training to the school team and other professionals of the center on pedagogical days.
Qualifications
- Ability to coach interventionists, teachers and educators and provide ongoing support
- Ability to assess in English
- Has experience with children with autistic spectrum disorder and/or global developmental delay
- Ability to accept supervision and guidance
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English
- Collaborative attitude and willingness to mentor new staff members
- Exhibit strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in multiple environments and adapt easily
- Recent Police Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening (6 months or newer)

Pay: $45.50-$73.00 per hour
