Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is a values-driven property investment, development, and management company active across commercial and residential real estate in Metro Vancouver. With a growing development pipeline and an expanding portfolio of income-producing multifamily and commercial properties, they are looking to add a motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to their finance team.

The Role
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of high-volume invoices across a diverse real estate portfolio. You'll play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring queries are resolved and payments are made on time. This organization is leveraging Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to support invoice processing, so we're looking for someone who is tech-savvy and comfortable adapting to automated workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume invoices in Yardi Voyager 7S, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and timely payment
- Work closely with operational managers to resolve discrepancies related to invoices, purchase orders, and contracts
- Set up and maintain vendor profiles, ensuring accurate GST, WCB, and banking information
- Prepare bi-monthly and off-cycle payment runs across multiple entities
- Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items
- Manage the AP shared inbox and deliver timely, professional communication to vendors and internal stakeholders
- Administer the Builder's Lien Holdback process
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of accounts payable experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Yardi Voyager 7S experience considered a strong asset
- High level of attention to detail and dedication to quality
- Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks independently
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- A positive, adaptable attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working with automated/RPA-driven processes

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
