Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead and oversee all operations within our no profit. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a minimum of 5yrs management experience, excellent communication abilities. This role requires strategic planning, team management, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service to ensure the company's success and growth. The General Manager will be responsible for many day to day operational details while maintaining operational excellence across all departments.
Duties
- Monitor inventory levels; oversee purchasing decisions and vendor relations
- Manage supply ordering
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements
- Prepare reports when asked
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
- Work closely with the Executive Director and Finance Manager
Qualifications
- Proven experience with demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong background in management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional written and communication skills in English
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and team supervision
- Strong negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers; purchasing experience is preferred
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks
- Valid Driver's License
- Fluent in Microsoft Suite
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background/Vulnerable Sector check
- Must be able to pass a Social Development Check
