Overview
We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist for Maternity leave position at friendly downtown Hamilton office. Position to start July 2026 until Sept 2027. Office hours Monday-Thursday NO WEEKENDS
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing procedures to maintain optimal oral health of patients
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Assist with patient education on treatment plans and post-treatment care instructions
- Collaborate with dentist and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care delivery
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment for all patients
Requirements
- Valid Ontario licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental practice
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and customer service excellence
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $38.00-$55.00 per hour
