Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight efficiently across designated routes in Fort St. John. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, vehicle maintenance, and safety procedures. Candidates with experience in box trucks, end dumps, tanking, lowbedding and vac trucks are preferred. Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 trucks to deliver freight to various locations according to schedule and route plans
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery status and any issues encountered
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading processes
Skills
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating box trucks, water trucks, end dumps, tankers, vac trucks and lowbeds.
- Proficiency in filling out safety paper work and maintenance requests
- Basic automotive repair knowledge for troubleshooting vehicle issues
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, installing chains, polying loads and climbing in and out of boxes of units.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Dependability, punctuality, and a professional attitude toward work responsibilities
Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour

Experience:
- Driving with Valid Class 1: 3 years (preferred)
