We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cleaning Equipment In Store Repair Technician to join our team full-time. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of cleaning equipment directly within our store environment. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and more.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and other technical resources to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Conduct welding and electrical repairs as needed to restore equipment functionality.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and when working with heavy machinery or power tools.
- Maintain accurate repair records, update service logs, and communicate repair status clearly to team members.
- Assist customers with basic troubleshooting and provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes or recommending solutions.
- Collaborate with store management on inventory needs for repair parts and ensure timely completion of all repair tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical repair, automotive repair, or similar technical fields; experience with Caterpillar or other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Skilled in welding, working with hand tools, power tools, and performing repairs involving electrical components.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment safely and work comfortably in physically demanding environments.
- Previous mechanic experience or background in automotive or industrial repair preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with Schematics for diagnosing complex equipment issues is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of sales principles related to replacement parts or accessories is an added advantage.
