Commercial Flooring Installer (Sheet Vinyl, Heat Welding & Flash Cove)

Pay: $23.00–$26.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Flooring Installer to join our team. We are looking for a skilled installer with strong experience in resilient flooring, sheet vinyl installation, heat welding, and flash cove installation for commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, retail, multifamily residential, and residential projects.
Important: Applicants must have hands-on experience with sheet vinyl flooring, heat welding, and flash cove installation. Applications without these skills will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Install sheet vinyl flooring, resilient flooring, linoleum, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), vinyl plank, laminate flooring, engineered hardwood flooring, carpet tile, and broadloom carpet.
- Perform heat welding of sheet vinyl and resilient flooring systems.
- Install flash cove flooring systems in healthcare, institutional, educational, retail, commercial, and industrial environments.
- Measure, cut, fit, and secure flooring materials according to project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and installation details.
- Prepare subfloors through grinding, patching, moisture testing, and self-leveling.
- Inspect surfaces to ensure proper conditions for flooring installation.
- Install transitions, reducers, stair nosings, baseboards, and related flooring accessories.
- Repair and replace damaged flooring materials when required.
- Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Work independently or as part of an installation team to complete projects on schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of flooring installation experience.
- Proven experience installing sheet vinyl flooring and resilient flooring systems.
- Demonstrated experience performing heat welding and flash cove installations.
- Experience with floor preparation, including grinding, patching, moisture testing, and self-leveling.
- Experience installing luxury vinyl tile (LVT), vinyl plank, laminate flooring, engineered hardwood flooring, carpet tile, and broadloom carpet.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction specifications.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in flooring installation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
