About the Position
A Vancouver-based printing and packaging company is looking for a reliable, hardworking individual who is interested in learning and growing within the printing and packaging industry.
This is an entry-level production position with opportunities to learn different areas of our operation. The successful candidate will work on the production floor, assist with various equipment and processes, and support the team wherever needed.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and perform assigned production duties
- Handle and move paper and other production materials
- Strip and remove waste paper
- Sort and recycle production waste
- Assist with catching off on bindery and gluing equipment
- Work in different areas of the shop as needed
- Support machine operators and other production staff
- Help keep production moving efficiently
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and tidy
- Follow all company safety procedures and protocols
- Learn different aspects of the printing and packaging workflow

As the successful candidate gains experience and becomes familiar with our equipment and processes, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and grow into more advanced production roles.

- Reliable and punctual

- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical production duties
- Ability to lift and handle materials as required
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Valid driver's licence is an asset
- Previous printing or manufacturing experience is an asset but not required
