Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing production equipment and machinery used in the manufacturing of wooden pallets and skids. This role is essential to ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.
Location: Milton, Twiss Rd and Campbellville
Shift: 7:00 am-6:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and minimize downtime.
- Repair and maintain conveyors, saws, nail guns, compressors, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Install, adjust, and replace machine parts as required.
- Maintain maintenance records and complete work orders accurately.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Assist with equipment upgrades and facility maintenance projects.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
