About Kalamoir: Kalamoir is a Calgary-based Developer & General Contractor that specializes in a variety of different development projects including infill townhomes, large-scale greenfield townhome developments, low-to-mid rise multi-family buildings, and various commercial/specialty and civil/infrastructure projects. Roughly 70% of our portfolio is focused on residential developments with the other 30% allocated to commercial & infrastructure. The majority of our projects are based in Calgary and the surrounding municipalities, but we are continuing to grow our presence in Interior AB & BC, in municipalities including Canmore, Jasper, Revelstoke & Fernie.
A strong focus of Kalamoir is our preconstruction services where we are engaged early in the design development of projects so we can optimize value for clients through early budget and schedule preparation that are continually refined and updated leading up to formal tender and construction commencement.
Role Overview: The Assistant Project Manager supports the management and coordination of delegated project scopes, budgets, and schedules — either supporting a Project Manager or taking full responsibility for projects with lower complexity or size. This full-time role is a developing leadership position with growing client-facing responsibilities, covering site safety support, client communication and reporting, project documentation and controls, subcontract administration, and risk and change tracking.
Key Accountabilities:
- Champion site safety by supporting inspections, documentation, and risk identification in partnership with safety and field teams.
- Maintain client communication and reporting, including meeting prep, correspondence, and follow-up to ensure expectations are met.
- Support overall project performance by assisting with or managing safety, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Coordinate project documentation and processes, streamlining administrative workflows, and assist with preparing and presenting reports.
- Assist with or manage subcontract administration, ensuring contracts are properly executed, tracked, and compliant.
- Monitor and document project changes and risks, maintain logs, and assist in mitigation planning.
- Prepare, review, and verify documentation aligns with contract requirements.

- 7+ year of progressive construction experience in project coordination or field supervision

Working Conditions
- Split between office and active project sites, including site visits, inspections, and client-facing meetings as required.
