About Us
Bennett Lawn & Landscape is a growing landscape construction company specializing in high-quality hardscape and softscape projects throughout Ottawa’s west end.
We’re looking for an experienced landscaper who wants more than just another job. The right candidate will join our hardscape crew this season and be trained to lead our new softscape division next year.
This is an opportunity to work directly with the owner, develop leadership skills, and earn a position leading a 2-3 person crew as the company grows.
What You’ll Do
2026 Season
- Build patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and other hardscape features
- Install gardens, trees, shrubs, mulch, and sod
- Operate landscaping equipment and power tools safely and efficiently
- Drive company vehicles and tow trailers
- Learn our systems for production, quality control, and jobsite management
- Develop the skills required to lead a crew
2027 Season
- Lead a 2-3 person softscape crew
- Manage daily production, quality control, and jobsite organization
- Train and mentor crew members
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and scheduling
- Help grow an expanding division within the company
Compensation
- Starting wage: $25+/hour for experienced installers
- Future Softscape Crew Leader compensation: $30-$35+/hour
- Performance-based advancement opportunities
- Optional winter work available

Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of landscaping experience
- Experience with both hardscape and softscape installations
- Valid G Driver’s Licence
- Clean driving record
- Ability to qualify under our commercial vehicle insurance policy
- Comfortable driving trucks and towing trailers
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
Assets
- AR Licence
- Previous crew leadership experience
- Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or other compact equipment
- Experience reading landscape plans and layouts
