Position Details:
- Job Type: Permanent, part-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday; 3–8 hour shifts
- Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) in caring for and supervising children from infants (12 - 18 months of age), toddlers (18 months - 2.5 years), to preschool (2.5 - 4 years)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
- Ensure compliance with the Ministry of Education and Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit regulations
- Support children’s daily routines, activities, and outdoor play
- Greet and communicate positively with children, guardians, and staff
- Complete daily documentation and reports as required
- Attend quarterly staff meetings and professional development sessions
- Participate in centre-wide special events
Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- At least 1 year of experience with young children aged 6 months to 4 years, or currently enrolled in a related university/college program
- Up-to-date immunizations (Tetanus and MMR required)
- Reliable transportation and availability to be on call on certain days
