Job Description: Provides general maintenance and repairs for systems, equipment, grounds and buildings of Circle Drive Special Care Home and Circle Drive Place
Experience: Previous: Twelve (12) months previous experience in a maintenance environment (e.g., commercial or industrial)
Key Activities:
· Perform preventative maintenance
· Perform carpentry repairs, painting, drywalling
· Repair and maintain patient equipment (e.g., mobility devices, sterilizers, beds and wheelchairs)
· Install, repair and maintain mechanical equipment 9e.g., pumps, fans, motors, kitchen/laundry/housekeeping equipment
· Perform repairs and maintenance on air-conditioning equipment (e.g., filters, belts, coils)
· Repair and maintain bottled medical gas systems, centrifuges, fume hoods, water softeners.
· Perform plumbing and electrical repairs up to code
· Perform welding and fabricating (e.g., shelf brackets, hand rails)
· Perform concrete and asphalt repairs
· Work in confined spaces
- Facility Operating Systems
· Repair and maintain ventilation units and boilers/accessory equipment
· Monitor and respond to a computerized system e.g., alarms)
· Perform repairs and adjustments to building systems
- Related Key Work Activities
· Maintain and operate vehicles (e.g., delivers/collects mail, linen, supplies/specimens)
· Provide security services (e.g.: parking lot checks, scanners, monitors, fire drills)
· Clean work areas and dispose of waste
· Maintain inventory (e.g., order parts/supplies, ships/receives)
· Receive and respond to work orders and record maintenance logs
· Provide occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training
· Coordinate contract work and participate in facility renovations
· Process work orders, maintain documentation and records
· Ensure all work complies with Infection and Prevention Control Standards
