Calnash Trucking Ltd. is currently looking for an adaptable, motivated, experienced individual to join our operations team as a Dispatcher.
Shift Work 10 days on 4 days off
Expectations include but are not limited to:
- Schedule daily deliveries and pickups, optimizing routes to maximize efficiency and payload
- Relay workorders, messages and info to drivers and field crews (phones, radio, or computer systems) Advise route problems, weather or hazards
- Coordinate with yard personal and warehouse team to ensure accurate receiving, storing and loading of all pipe and materials
- Ensure loads are properly secured and equipment is up to date and meets safety standards
- Prepare all necessary paperwork, work orders, shipping, invoices, and driver logs. Maintain accurate records of inventory
- Address problems, driver concerns, handle customer inquires/complaints, make necessary adjustments to schedules
- Coordinate 3rd party resources, such as cranes, and mechanics
Requirements:
- Prior experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or a related industry (oil and gas or construction)
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, GPS/mapping software, and transportation or enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is essential
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, ability to multitask and make quick decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment are critical.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
