Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscaper/Labourer to join our team. This role involves working outdoors on various landscaping projects, maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, and supporting construction and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance, with the ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in landscape construction, parking lot construction, and groundskeeping while contributing to beautiful and functional outdoor environments.
Duties
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment such as excavators for excavation and site preparation
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and fertilizing
- Support construction activities related to outdoor projects including setting up structures or pathways
- Conduct general groundskeeping duties to keep work sites clean and safe
- Assist with the repair and maintenance of landscaping equipment and machinery
- Follow safety protocols during all operations to ensure a secure work environment
Qualifications
- Experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to handle hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
