Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role is vital in creating a positive shopping experience for customers by providing excellent service, handling transactions efficiently, and assisting with product inquiries. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or technical sales are highly valued to better serve our diverse customer base.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, questions, and product information
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
- Manage cash register operations including balancing drawers at shift end
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Conduct product demos and provide technical sales support when needed
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and restocking shelves
- Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication and phone etiquette
- Assist customers with inquiries about products, services, or store policies
- Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and merchandising
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Customer service-oriented attitude with the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully
- Ability to demonstrate products and perform basic product demos confidently
- Technical sales experience or familiarity with technology products is advantageous
- Multilingual capabilities enhance customer interactions in diverse communities

Pay: $17.20-$17.80 per hour
