Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting the hospitality industry. Prior experience in food service or restaurant settings is a plus but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in food handling, kitchen operations, and hospitality services.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas to meet health and safety standards
- Assist with organizing and storing clean items in designated areas for easy access by kitchen staff
- Support the kitchen team by helping with basic food preparation tasks when needed
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and safety compliance
- Adhere to all sanitation policies and procedures to uphold cleanliness standards
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling processes as required
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service times
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and maintaining hygiene standards is advantageous
- Experience with food handling or basic food preparation tasks is a plus
- Knowledge of restaurant or hospitality operations can be beneficial for understanding workflow dynamics
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food safety regulations
Pay: $18.25-$18.30 per hour
