Company Overview:
Blackstone Property Management Inc provides facility management, condominium corporation management, and homeowner’s association management services to commercial and residential clients in and around the Calgary area. We are a small company with ten team members operating out of an office in Inglewood.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual, to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for all full cycle accounting functions in support of all properties. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· All AP functions; managing corporate AP email, PO entry, invoice approvals process, invoice entry and payment.
· All AR functions; invoice generation, preauthorized debit reconciliations, and receipt processing.
· Preparation of monthly financial statements, including accrual and prepaid expense processing and bank reconciliations.
· Quarterly GST file preparation.
· Preparing draft annual budgets.
· Preparing year-end audit packages for auditor.
· Database queries in support of financial journal entries.
· Other duties as required.
Skills/Qualities:
· Minimum of 3 years experience working in a small office, performing full cycle accounting.
· Managing financials for multiple entities.
· Advanced Excel skills.
· Strong attention to detail is critical to be successful in this position.
· Fluent in English with superior written and oral communication skills required.
· Highly organized with the ability to manage overlapping tasks is essential.
· Technology savvy.
· Reliable and punctual.
· Experience with accounting software conversions is considered an asset.
