Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Civil 3D Technician to join our field operations team. The ideal candidate will support civil operations and management through technical layout and surveying, project progress collections and site observations annd presentation activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure projects, including construction of bridges, culverts, retaining systems, pipelines, road and highway projects. The Civil Technician will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while utilizing advanced software tools and engineering principles.
Duties
- Prepare detailed layout for surveying equipment using reference information for layout activity purposes.
- Prepare required drawings and schematics using CAD software such as Civil 3D.
- Assist in project planning and management utilizing required application for preparation, implementation and as-built records.
- Conduct construction observation to ensure adherence to design requirements and standards.
- Perform drafting and technical documentation for civil infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with operations and engineers on system design, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting issues.
- Manage project timelines for layout related activities efficiently with strong organizational skills and time management.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to present project updates and technical information clearly.
- Support construction activities through inspection, quality control, and technical guidance as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills in French are a plus.
- Strong civil layout knowledge coupled with expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Schematics, and CAD software.
- Knowledge of construction inspection procedures and system design principles.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets using analysis skills in math and engineering principles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective presentation delivery and customer service interactions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $95,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
