Job Summary
We are seeking a carpenter's helper for our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various renovation tasks and possess a diverse skill set that may includes demolition, concrete, framing, drywall, finishing carpentry, painting, minor plumbing and electrical experience, and blueprint reading. Here you will be responsible for transforming spaces through your expertise in construction and renovation techniques, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform renovations on residential and commercial properties.
- Read and interpret blueprints and instructions to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Utilize machinery for precise cutting and shaping of materials.
- Estimate construction materials and labor costs for project change orders.
- Communicate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Comply to local municipal building codes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in renovation or construction roles with a focus on finishing carpentry.
- Knowledge of construction best techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Good attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks associated with renovation work.
- Having a vehicle is an asset.
