KTH Shelburne Mfg is a Tier One supplier of welded automotive component parts and is accepting applications for a Tool and Die Associate on night shift.
Pay:
Starting rate of $38.91, with increases every 6 months for the first 3 years of employment. Additional midnight shift premium of $0.75. Potential for a higher starting rate for candidates who possess relevant experience within the automotive industry.
Tool and Die Associate Job Duties:
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures while working with machinery, welding equipment, and materials.
- Diagnosing and repairing issues with existing tools and dies, including welding repairs, component replacement, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Press calls - identifying and resolving issues with tools and dies during the manufacturing process.
- Using various machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) to cut, shape, and finish metal and other materials according to specified dimensions.
- Preventative maintenance - performing routine maintenance on tools and dies to prevent issues and ensure their longevity.
- Assembling fabricated parts into complete tools and dies, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
What We Look For:
- Licensed Tool and Die Maker with Red Seal certification.
- A strong commitment to safety and the ability to work in a safe manner.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify part dimensions.
- Strong understanding of tool and die making principles and machining techniques.
- Ability to work with tight tolerances and ensure high levels of accuracy in all aspects of the job.
- Ability to work effectively with other team members and communicate clearly.
- Experience with welding processes (MIG and TIG) is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models, including those created in AutoCAD is an asset.
- Prior experience in the automotive industry is an asset.
