Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The Mechanic will play a vital part in minimizing downtime and supporting the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues on machinery and equipment using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance on various mechanical systems
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment accurately
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as needed
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar maintenance role
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and machinery types
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience using power tools safely and effectively for repair tasks
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
