Position Overview:
The Project Coordinator ensures the successful delivery of restoration projects by coordinating with homeowners, insurance companies, estimators and sub-contractors. Construction experience with excellent organizational, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and update all stakeholders to ensure timelines are achieved
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and in-house crews to meet deadlines and set budgets
- Principal liaison between homeowners, estimators, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the lifecycle of restoration projects
- Review scopes and procure materials to ensure timely and accurate ordering, delivery, and accountability
- Inspect and monitor ongoing projects and assist in resolving deficiencies, issues, and outstanding items
- Ensure safe, clean job sites at all times
- Obtain work authorizations, set sub-contractor work orders and budgets in accordance with approved estimates.
- Provide timely project progress and communicate scheduling impacts, delays, or issues to the Estimator
- Support emergency response operations as needed and participate in on-call rotations
- Maintain accurate project documentation in Encircle and Docusketch, including site notes, photos, schedules, permits, and correspondence
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Construction knowledge and experience in residential and commercial construction practices, restoration procedures, and applicable building codes
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the restoration or construction industry
- Experience with restoration or construction management software Encircle and Docusketch is considered an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build positive client and stakeholder relationships
- Strong attention to detail with proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Valid G driver’s license
