Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Operator Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight efficiently and safely across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. As an Owner Operator, you will have the opportunity to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries for our clients.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight over long or short distances
- Load and unload cargo
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, and cargo details
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to keep trucks in optimal condition
- Coordinate with dispatch for route planning and delivery schedules
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local transportation laws and safety regulations
- Assist in securing freight and managing cargo during transit to prevent damage
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor issues on the road
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Prior experience as a truck driver or in freight logistics preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to delivery schedules
- Physical capability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections as required
Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
