Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Lead and supervise staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to meet performance standards.
- Manage merchandising efforts by organizing displays, pricing products, and ensuring stock levels meet customer demand.
- Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping duties accurately and securely.
- Support sales initiatives through effective marketing strategies and customer engagement techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate purchasing, and oversee stock replenishment processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and store procedures.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and foster a positive work environment.
- Assist with scheduling staff shifts to optimize coverage during peak hours.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Support store marketing efforts by participating in promotional activities and community outreach.
Experience
- Prior retail management experience is required; supervisory experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in sales management, team leadership, and customer service excellence.
- Proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, and POS systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills—bilingual abilities are a plus—and phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers and team members.
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping or payroll is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of marketing techniques and sales strategies to drive store performance.
- Ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of store operations.
