Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy equipment
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system inspections
- Repair or replace components on excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and other industrial equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle or piece of equipment
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
- Assist in assembly or installation of new equipment or machinery as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and professionally
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic in an automotive repair shop or mechanical repair facility
- Automotive repair certification or trade certificate required
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
- Experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate industrial or heavy machinery effectively
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and welding techniques is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
