We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Locum Family Physician to join our healthcare team on a temporary basis. Responsibilities
- Deliver thorough medical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and adult populations.
- Manage acute care cases efficiently, providing immediate interventions and stabilizations as needed.
- Administer medications and oversee medication management in accordance with best practices and patient safety protocols.
- Conduct patient care activities such as health screenings, immunizations, and chronic disease management.
- Utilize electronic health record systems like Epic and Cerner to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Collect and analyze data for quality improvement initiatives and research projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
- Provide home care services when necessary, ensuring patients receive appropriate follow-up and support in their environments.
Requirements
- Valid medical license to practice as a Family Physician in the designated region or country.
- Proven hospital experience with a strong understanding of hospital protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in acute care settings, handling urgent medical situations confidently.
- Knowledge of pain management strategies and techniques to improve patient comfort.
- Experience working with pediatric patients, including growth assessments and developmental screenings.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, documentation, and data collection methods for clinical accuracy.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner for seamless documentation workflows.
- Prior medical office experience is preferred, including scheduling, patient communication, and administrative tasks.
- Ability to perform medical procedures such as medication administration accurately and safely.

Pay: $193,391.01-$451,005.71 per year

- Full licensure to practice Family Medicine in Alberta or an Eligibility Letter from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) to under PRA or SPA.
- International Medical Graduates (IMGs), with a strong preference for those certified in Canada, the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.
