Mount Polley Mining Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Mobile Maintenance Scheduler/Forecaster to join our Mobile Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, this position is responsible for coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, forecasting equipment servicing requirements, maintaining maintenance records, and supporting supervisors with administrative and compliance-related activities.
This role is essential to ensuring the reliability and availability of the mobile equipment fleet through accurate data management, maintenance scheduling, and effective communication with maintenance, operations, purchasing, and tire management personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Scheduling & Forecasting
- Maintain and update preventive maintenance (PM) scheduling forecasts and distribute reports as required.
- Ensure all mobile equipment receives scheduled PM servicing through effective equipment hour management and monitoring of stalled plans within SAP.
- Independently, and in coordination with supervisors, verify equipment hours are accurate and updated regularly, with particular attention to non-production equipment.
- Review PM attachments and manage updates to PM task lists as required.
- Update PM attachments and upload revised versions to Teams and SAP.
- Create monthly work order distribution lists and release PM05, minor maintenance, and tire-related work orders.
- Update work order status and ensure work orders are available for execution as required.
- Work with purchasing personnel to minimize outstanding PM service filters and communicate potential parts shortages or component delays to supervisors.
- Monitor equipment servicing requirements and identify upcoming maintenance needs based on operating hours and maintenance history.
Data Management & Documentation
- Maintain communication contact lists for documentation distribution.
- Perform daily data entry including:
- Operator equipment logs
- Equipment hours
- Equipment fuel logs
- Scanning and closing work orders
- Updating tracking and scheduling spreadsheets
- Verifying SAP entries for accuracy
- Identify and correct systematic errors related to data entry and SAP uploads in a timely manner.
- Maintain records and filing systems for all hard-copy maintenance documentation.
- Ensure supervisors and crews have access to current forms, documentation, and reference materials.
- Maintain employee policy, procedure, and compliance filing records.
- Create and maintain personnel-specific compliance records.
Tire Management Coordination
- Work directly with FTMS technicians to review tire purchases, change-outs, and repairs.
- Enter tire-related maintenance information onto corresponding MPMC work orders.
- Liaise with TMS Head Office to obtain invoice proformas.
- Scan and upload tire-related documentation into SAP as required.
Safety & Administrative Support
- Record and distribute minutes from crew safety meetings.
- Assist supervisors with safety-related documentation and record management.
- Track, record, and file completed FLHAs following supervisor sign-off.
- Maintain organized safety and compliance documentation.
- Keep office supply inventories stocked and coordinate orders as required.
General
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Collaborate effectively with maintenance personnel, supervisors, operations, purchasing, and external service providers.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Company
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, forecasting, or maintenance administration in a mining, industrial, or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong understanding of maintenance processes and preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience working with SAP or similar computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
