Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Power Engineer (4th or 5th Class) to join our maintenance team in Richmond, BC. This role is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of boilers, utilities, and food processing equipment within a modern manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical knowledge, and proven troubleshooting skills. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor boilers and related utility systems in compliance with safety regulations and operating standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on food processing, packaging, and facility equipment.
- Complete equipment teardown, cleaning support, and setup activities at the beginning and end of production shifts.
- Diagnose equipment failures and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and performance.
- Support production teams by responding promptly to maintenance requests and minimizing equipment downtime.
- Follow all company safety procedures and participate in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate effectively with maintenance and production personnel to ensure smooth plant operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- 4th or 5th Class Power Engineer certification.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Basic electrical knowledge, including familiarity with low-voltage electrical systems.
- Experience working with boilers, industrial machinery, or manufacturing equipment is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
